Scholarships: Current scholarships are posted outside the counseling office. Check the board frequently!!

Course Requirements for admission to state system Universities in Oregon.

Subject/Years (UNITS) required

Descriptive Guidelines

English/ 4 yrs.

All four years in preparatory composition and literature with emphasis on and frequent practice in writing expository prose.

Mathematics/ 3 years

Shall include algebra, geometry, and third year of math such as advanced algebra, trigonometry, analytic geometry, calculus, statistics, math analysis, or other college prep math.

Science/ 2 years (3 years recommended) 

Shall include a year each in two fields of college prep science such as biology, chemistry, physics, or earth and physical science.

Social Studies/ 3 years

Shall include one year of US history, one year of global studies, (world history, geography, etc.), one-half year of social science elective.(Economics, Psychology, Anthropology, Ancient History, Cultural studies, History of War, NW history, Mock trial, World issues)

Foreign Language/ 2 years

Two years of the same language.

Total REQUIRED courses: 14

  • High School Diploma
  • College Entrance Exams (SAT or ACT)
  • Specified grade point average (GPA)
