For this assignment, you are to create a Website for one of the situations below. Pay special attention to the needs of your
customer,
the ease of use for your customers, and the design principals of proximity, alignment, repetition, and contrast.
Situation #1: Your local community playhouse has approached your FBLA chapter to develop a Web
site to promote its upcoming production (insert name of production). You should include a brief synopsis
of the play, description of the cast, general details (e.g., schedule, ticket sales, directions), and information
on becoming a patron/donor of your playhouse. You may substitute the drama productions at your school
for the community playhouse. (Information presented may be fictitious.)
Situation #2: You have just been appointed to an economic development committee for your city/town.
Design a Web site that is focused on attracting people to your city/town. What makes your city/town special?
What does your city/town offer a small business, entrepreneur, or Web-based business? What does your community
offer families? What is the economic impact with increased businesses and families in your city/town? (Case information
may be totally fictitious)
Situation #3: A local store that carries video games for Xbox, Playstation, PSP, and Nintendo wants you
to create a Web site that appeals to younger customŽers. Remember your audience is preteen customers.
Situation #4: Develop a Web site to advertise an event that takes place in the community every year. It may be the 4th
of July celebration, the Santiam Stampede, the Harvest Fest, SummerFest, or some other event. The information
may be fictitious if you have a good idea.
The new site will be evaluated using the following criteria:
