Project #3
HTML is the programming language behind all web pages and is very useful to know. Now that you have that background knowledge it is
important to explore some of the other ways to create web pages. Front Page is popular software used to create web pages. Front Page
is also available in our classroom.
There are also three general types of web pages personal, business, and informational. You
have already created a personal and business web page.
Therefore, to complete Project #3 you will use Front Page to create a research based,
informational web page.
Expectations of Project #3:
- Complete the Front Page tutorial: Click here to complete the Front Page tutorial
- Choose a topic to research. This can be a topic you already know about or something that you would like to learn more about. It is even OK to use a
research assignment for another class, if you have permission from that teacher. (You could really impress that teacher by posting your research
project on-line).
- Do your research and writing. This project should be treated as any other research paper. You must keep track of your works cited
- Find related web sites that could serve as “related links”
- Use Front Page to create a web page to display the information you have researched and written
The informational web page must:
- Include a home page which introduces the topic
- Include links to related sites
- Include a link to the works cited
