Course Overview: Prep for life fulfills career graduation
requirements as outlined by the State of Oregon.
Course Goals: This
course is designed to prepare the student for four successful years of high
school work. They will be involved in
activities of goal setting, career exploration, career preparedness, and
encouraged to participate in all SHS activities.
Student Materials Required:
Paper, writing utensils, and a
3-ring binder with dividers for all classes
Colored Pens and Pencils
1 or more floppy disks
Course Curricular Resources:
Scholarly internet articles and
web sites. CIS system, various personality tests and test preparation.

Grading Scale- As per student

Grading Percentages- Participation 5%

Late Work Policy
All work not turned in on the
appropriate date will be considered late work. Late work is worth 50% of the
total points available and may only be turned in during the 6-week period that
it was assigned.
Projects MAY NOT be turned
in late.
In an extreme emergency I will
work with you on this. Special
circumstances will be considered.
If there are any questions, please call me ahead of the due date. It is
up to my discretion as to if I will accept the work or not.

Tardies as per student handbook.
If an absence is excused, then the
work may be made up as per student handbook guidelines. Work missed due to
unexcused absences may not be made up.

Class Conduct:Common courtesy and
respect for others is mandatory in this classroom.
No hats or electronic devices are
allowed in class.

Office hours:
My preparation period is listed on
the master school class schedule. I am
available during that time to help students with individual questions. I am also available from 7:30 am-8 am and
3-3:30 pm each day. You may contact me through email at
